The composition of marmalade includes dietary fiber – oligo-fructose. This is a natural polysaccharide derived from chicory root according to a technology similar to the production of sugar from sugar beet. Along with the direct positive effects (improvement of intestinal motility and microflora composition), oligofructose also provides a number of mediated effects.
