 The composition of marmalade includes dietary fiber – oligo-fructose. This is a natural polysaccharide derived from chicory root according to a technology similar to the production of sugar from sugar beet. Along with the direct positive effects (improvement of intestinal motility and microflora composition), oligofructose also provides a number of mediated effects. These include: strengthening the immune system, improving the assimilation of the most important minerals, primarily calcium and magnesium (confirmed in people of different age groups, including older women), reducing cholesterol levels, blood triglecerides and even reducing the risk of bowel cancer! The marmalade also contains vitamin PP, sodium, calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium and potassium.
